Key Course Info

Students will be able to gain one of two qualifications:

Diploma – 12 units = 2 A levels

Extended Diploma 18 units = 3 A levels.

Students will learn how to use a plethora of different software including Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, Autodesk Maya & Blender to mention just a few. You will be working with industry professionals on live briefs

This is an exciting vocational course that will prepare & equip students with the necessary skills for successful application to many creative and media orientated industries or higher education in similar fields


To achieve these qualifications you will be assessed through your practical and written work via coursework assignments. Working in the media involves a lot of team working so you can expect to work in creative teams on projects. You will also work on Industry specific projects and briefs issued by our industry partners

If you study for the Diploma you will take 12 units over two years and be graded at Pass, Merit or Distinction. This is equivalent to two A-Levels

If you study the Extended Diploma, you will take 18 units over two years and be graded Pass, Merit or Distinction. This is equivalent to three A-Levels

Media students need to be committed, hardworking and resilient, with a willingness to seek advice and improve both written and practical work to ensure it is of a near professional quality
